Often called 'The Tongue of the Gods' and 'Navel of Immortality', ghee in the Vedic scriptures has been long revered for its healing and medicinal properties. According to Ayurveda, when used in moderation, ghee offers numerous health benefits.  Ancient Yogis used it for its anti-inflammatory, digestive, and peace-promoting attributes.

The ancient seers saw ghee as more than a food substance, it was a sacred superfood used for healing, cooking, medication, and more. According to Ayurveda ghee holds pure or sattvic energy and is abundant in Prana, the universal life force. Ghee is said to promote a harmonious and peaceful nature, support physical strength, a strong and pure mind, good health, and longevity. Since Prana is so pronounced in ghee, it is often considered an integral part of religious ceremonies.

Aids Digestion
Ghee is the most easily digestible fat.  A natural healer, ghee nourishes the cells of the intestines and helps reduce inflammation. It fuels the digestive fire, prevents constipation, and promotes detoxification. If combined with milk it can also work as a mild laxative.

Good for the bones
Ghee is liquid gold when it comes to bone and joint health. It helps increase mobility, lubricates the joints and strengthens the bones. Known to keep Vata imbalances at bay, it also prevents joint pain, arthritis and other joint and bone health problems caused by an excess of Vata dosha.

Ghee is naturally developed and has a high smoking point and does not change property when heated.
